Welcome to the Comfort Zone

Hello My Friend,

I first would like to welcome you to the Comfort Zone. This blog is all about reflection, sharing, and growing in the body of Christ. Here, you are free to explore in thought, with the understanding that I am not here to judge, but only to share, learn, and grow with you, through biblical principles that reside in the scriptures of the Old and New Testament.

For the past year I have been on a journey to find my purpose in the body of Christ. I finally believe I have discovered my purpose and it encompasses me developing a global relationship with God’s people. There are many building blocks to complete to fulfill my purpose. The Comfort Zone is the foundation.

From the time I was a little boy I have always written short stories and poetic expressions about the goodness of the Lord. I would dream about His mercy upon my life and then articulate it in poetry or short stories. I would share my poetry and short stories with family and friends and they would become inspired by the words they read. In those dreams God would always rescue me from my oppressors. He would never leave me to face what ever issue I was dreaming about alone.

There have been times that God has saved me from evil people, financial hardships, mental breakdowns, and most of all death. In my thirty-seven years on this planet, through the forever loving hands of the Lord, I have survived many life threatening circumstances. He has delivered me from the jaws of death when the doctors gave me two weeks to live. He has protected me from being shot at gunpoint when two young men tried to rob me for my money and jewelry. He shielded me when I was in a terrible car accident in the middle of a monsoon in Florida.

I believe God has allowed me to go through those things just so I can be here to witness to you today. I have many alters reminding me of what God has brought me through. These alters are forever in my memory bank so I can use them when times are tough and I become desperate for God to intervene and deliver me from my oppression.

As we take this journey together, I encourage you to pray for wisdom and understanding of God’s words. Study the scriptures for yourself and do not leave anything up to someone else’s interpretation. Do not be afraid to ask God to reveal to you the meaning of each scripture you encounter. I implore you to seek God’s face constantly in order to develop a personal relationship with Him. I thank you in advance for being apart of this exciting journey and I welcome you again to the Comfort Zone.
